Dear Sir,

Invitation To Commemoration Meeting

Please find enclosed this personal invitation to a commemoration meeting at Waddesdon Hill Strict Baptists Chapel, on 16th August 2014, at 3.00 pm.

You will see from the recent Bucks Herald News item I was a former criminal in the 60’s but turned my life around at the age of 21. I educated myself, became a service manager for Granada TV Rental in Aylesbury, went onto Higher Education, became a Baptist minister and taught electronics, as a lecturer for over 20 years, in Luton College of Higher and other Colleges of Further Education.

I am telling my story of reformation at the Waddesdon Hill chapel in the 16th August at 3.00 pm and it may be you or your director who looks into ways to prevent recidivism would like to come. Or it may be a qualifying inmate due for parol or leave on license, would like to come accompanied by a orison officer or prison Chaplain would like to come.

Please also be aware that you have 10 copies of my book Borstal Boys, which tells my life story, lodged with your prison Chaplaincy Service and I am also informed that David Lidington MP for Aylesbury wrote to you supporting our request to perform our Punk Opera Borstal Boy, for the benefit of s prison inmate and staff, in you prison. May be you could consider this request.

PS. I will be visiting Aylesbury in the next two week for preparation and I could call to briefly see you tin order to introduce my self and tell you first hand of the work we have done with many prison inmates at home and abroad.

Yours Sincerely

David Clarke
